I really wouldn't want equally weighted completely random, because I don't want to frequently play the many fixed-scenario maps (europe, world, asia...) and fixed-shape maps (snowflake, central sea, ...) over and over if I roll random, I want to not know whether I'm going to get a naval map, a pangea map, a continents map, or something more esot... Small Continents with Low Sea Levels generates some really interesting, diverse continents with spots for canal cities.
